Massage Services

  • Sports Massage

    Sports

Sport Massage is for all levels of athlete and for people who have experienced injury. Whether you’re training for the Glasgow Half Marathon, or following a challenging hill-walk, sport massage techniques can help if you’ve overdone it, have developed repetitive strain injury or you have experienced a muscle, ligament or tendon strain due to poor technique, lack of mobility and even bad posture. As a runner and F45 gym member I get first hand (foot!?) the strain your body experiences.

  • Swedish Massage

    Swedish

If you think of a typical massage, its most likely Swedish massage. Swedish massage is the classic massage treatment that most folk are familiar with. Swedish massage is an holistic process that uses a combination of techniques to work and balance the body. Techniques include circular motion, effleurage (long gentle stroking), petrissage (kneading the muscles), vibration (by light tapping) and hacking (the karate-style chops).

Swedish Holistic massage can ease muscle pain, Increase your range of movement, reduce stress (physical and emotional), aid blood circulation and improve sleep.

  • Pregnancy Massage

    Pregnancy

Suitable for expectant mothers after the first trimester, treating yourself to a massage during pregnancy can help energise and relax you; helping you cope better with the changes your body is going through. Pregnancy massage is done with you lying on your side and uses pillows and blankets to help you get into a really comfortable position. Even taking time out in the supported position can help your body rest and relax.

Pregnancy massage can help reduce and deal with feet, leg, hip and back discomfort plus aches and pains that come with growing a human. Pregnancy massage is good for your baby too as you release “feel good” hormones, such as oxytocin and relaxin.

  • Chair Massage

    Chair

Seated on-site chair massage can be performed anywhere, your home, office (or any kind of workplace) or within a Glasgow Holistic Massage treatment room. Treatments are usually quicker than Swedish massage, typically lasting 20 minutes but a more thorough chair massage treatment can last beyond an hour. There’s no need to remove any clothes and no oils are used.

Seated chair massage can be tailored to your needs. It provides a welcome break from work and help to reduce and manage stress. Chair massage can also decrease muscle tension, help potential repetitive strain injury (RSI), relax your muscles, relive aches and pains, ease headaches and reduce eyestrain.

  • Myofascial Release massage

    Myofascial Release

Myofascial release is a hands on, oil-free treatment. Using gentle pressure and stretching that works to release the connective tissue between muscles, tendons and bones that can releive pain and increase range of motion.

  • Lymphatic Drainage Treatment

    Lymphatic Drainage Treatment

Lymphatic drainage treatment (LDT) - to clarify the difference between this drainage treatment and massage LDT that encourages the natural flow and drainage of lymphatic fluid. Did you know the lymphatic system (that runs along the better known circulatory system) doesn’t have it’s own pump so helping the flow of waste products and can be especially helpful in treating lymphedema.
